The Alocasia ‘Hilo Beauty’ is an attractive, ornamental perennial plant that has bluish-black stems and variegated large heart-shaped leaves. Each leaf is marked with various shades of pale white, lime green, with clear hued speckled blotches almost camouflaging the whole leaf.
☀ ☀ Light :
Enjoys bright indirect light while indoors, part shade is advised for outdoor planting.
Alocasias are water loving plants, so their soil must be kept moist all year long. Allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry out before watering again. It may be beneficial to keep this plant near a humidifier to replicate the conditions of a tropical climate.
+ Plant Tip :
Fertilize your Alocasia plant with a diluted balanced fertilizer during spring every two weeks. Too much fertilizer causes minerals to build up in the soil and burns the leaves of an Alocasia Plant.
