Alocasia are extremely popular due to their large striking foliage that immediately attracts the eyes. Its leaves can spread slightly over 3 feet, depending on the variety. There are around 80 varieties of Alocasia, all of them thriving in tropical like environments.

Enjoys bright indirect light while indoors, part shade is advised for outdoor planting.
Water :
Alocasias are water loving plants, so their soil must be kept moist all year long. Allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry out before watering again. It may be beneficial to keep this plant near a humidifier to replicate the conditions of a tropical climate.

When your Alocasia is being overwatered it'll begin to sweat! It's a process called guttation, it allows the plant to rid itself of the extra water. So next time you go to give your plant water, just give it a little less.
